The ‘Casual’ singer chatted with Elle as part of Kesha’s October cover story, discussing how the ‘TiK ToK’ singer took the time to support her after her performance at this year’s Lollapalooza in August.

While it’s impossible to say how many people saw Roan’s set at Grant Park, a Lollapalooza spokeswoman told CNN that it was “the biggest daytime set we’ve ever seen.” It was a magnificent moment etched into Lolla’s DNA.”

“Kesha was so lovely to me after my Lollapalooza set,” Roan told the outlet, adding: “Because with that big of a crowd, maybe only five other people there understood what that’s like.” Kesha came to chat to me afterwards, and it felt like a big sister was guiding me through it.”

Roan opened out about the ‘We R Who We R’ singer’s comeback, saying that both she and fellow pop artist Renée Rapp were passionate about it.

“Me and Reneé were crying because we felt like we were seen in a way we never had been before,” she told me. “Kesha has always stood up for women and what she believes in, and that’s very inspiring.”
