Simon McBride announced his retirement from Deep Purple, bringing an end to an important chapter in his musical career, in an emotional letter to his followers. He described his time with Deep Purple as a dream come true and expressed his sincere gratitude for the amazing experiences he has had with the band. In his statement, he said, “Playing with such famous musicians has been a privilege as well as a profound learning experience.”
Looking back on his stint, McBride talked about his favorite tour moments, the excitement of playing to enthusiastic crowds all over the world, and the special bond that formed between the band members.
