Singer-songwriter John Fogerty and his wife, Julie Lebiedzinski, have demonstrated that marriage can withstand the test of time. The pair has been together for more than three decades and still counting.

Fogerty and Lebiedzinski have maintained a great marriage and recently marked their 32nd wedding anniversary. Fogerty’s Instagram profile was updated with a post celebrating their lovely love story.

It said, “32 years ago today, John and Julie married in Bristol, Indiana. Happy wedding anniversary! May your love grow stronger with each passing year,” the pair said beside a throwback photo from their wedding day.

Later, the renowned singer-songwriter posted a contemporary photo of himself and his wife, writing, “Out with my sweet Julie for our anniversary dinner tonight, 32 years!” Fogerty, who had previously visited Vegas for a private concert, said, “Back in Vegas for a private show, then off to Connecticut and New York for the kickoff of the celebration tour!!”

The pair has a great love story. In Fogerty’s book, “Fortunate Son,” the two describe how they first met. Lebiedzinski, who was born and reared in northern Indiana, first met Fogerty on September 24, 1986 in Indianapolis.

When Fogerty first saw Lebiedzinski, she blew his mind; he described her as the most gorgeous female he had ever seen. The singer recounted how Lebiedzinski made the initial move. She approached and asked to shake his hand. Later, the two became acquainted, and Fogerty offered to buy her a drink.

Lebiedzinski was in the midst of finalising her divorce at the time, and her relationship with Fogerty was strained. They had no idea that this would be the beginning of their lovely love story.

The “Cotton Fields” singer, who was unhappy in a relationship with a woman named Martha, described how he acquired the guts to leave in the hopes of finding unconditional love. He eventually discovered genuine love with Lebiedzinski, whom he refers to as his fairy-tale princess. “Julie is my fairy-tale princess, and it will always be that way for the rest of eternity,” he admits in his book.

Some of Fogerty’s well-known songs include “Almost Saturday Night” and “Fortunate Son,” on which he collaborated with the rock band Foo Fighters, which includes Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins, among others.
