Sam Darnold of the Vikings Made Astonishing Remarks Regarding Jets Tenure

Sam Darnold will get his comeuppance on Sunday, October 6, when the Minnesota Vikings take on the New York Jets. He had the opportunity to slam a dunk on the Jets before the game when the question, “Do you believe the Jets failed you in any way?” was posed. “Well, I believe I had many opportunities in New York, and I always thought I could have performed better there,” Darnold shot back.

The Jets sacked Adam Gase in the 2021 offseason and hired Robert Saleh in his place. The Jets were then faced with a crucial choice: do we trade the No. 2 overall pick in that draft class or keep Darnold? Or do we start again with a fresh rookie quarterback and trade Darnold? After the Jets made their decision, the rest is history. During their time with Darnold, the Jets were heavily criticized for not doing more to support him. Additionally, the team had a poor history of helping rookie quarterbacks develop. While Darnold showed sparks again over the next three years in other locales, he lacked consistency. But he inked a $10 million, one-year contract with the Vikings this offseason, and Things are beginning to make sense. The Jets will be quite busy with Darnold and the Vikings. According to ESPN, Darnold has the longest passing touchdown of the season (97 yards), the highest quarterback rating in the league (118.9), and the most passing touchdowns (11), all in the National Football League. Darnold appears to have discovered the ideal circumstance. Kevin O’Connell, one of the league’s top offensive play callers, is his head coach, and he has a wealth of skill position players to throw to.
