Hull City confirms the move after a two-year contract is signed. Ten days have passed since the summer transfer window closed, but Hull City has taken advantage of the free agent market and signed a former Premier League midfielder.

Steven Alzate, a midfielder from Colombia, has officially joined Hull City on a free transfer. The 26-year-old signed a two-year contract; he had previously left Brighton when his contract expired earlier this summer. After moving to City’s MKM Stadium, Alzate made the following statement: “I’m really happy to be here and that it’s finally finished. I told the directors that my decision to join was motivated by the club’s ambitions. My former teammates, Noah Ohio and Aaron Connolly, have played here and have spoken well of the team. I know Gustavo Puerta of the national team, Carl Rushworth of Brighton, and Ryan Longman of Brighton.

I’m eager to take the field because I’ve never played here. I’m excited to play, get some wins, play my first minutes, and perhaps contribute some goals and assists. “My personal goals are to play as many games as I can, improve my goal and assist totals, and use my expertise to help the club have a successful season.”
