Jannik Sinner retorted to accusations that the tennis schedule is hazardous, saying he believes it should be the players’ responsibility to select the events they attend. The US Open champion believes that his opponents ought to be accountable for how much time they spend on the court. It follows criticism of the amount of events throughout the year from Jack Draper and Carlos Alcaraz. Jannik Sinner has advised players to plan well and feels that there is nothing hazardous about the tennis schedule. The US Open winner was replying to Jack Draper and Carlos Alcaraz, who have both criticized the ATP tour’s schedule of events. They are positioned next to many lower-tier titles and contests such  like the Davis Cup. Sinner also believes that it should be up to the players to decide when to play and when to take a break. “Obviously, the schedule is rather long,” he remarked. However, as players, we still have the freedom to decide what to play and what not to. “Yes, there are some events that are required of us. As the player, you still have options. This year has a packed program with numerous tournaments. Playing in a competition is not required. The Australian swing takes place in January and spans almost the whole tennis calendar year. Last week, No. 1 Draper called the schedule “mental.” Sinner went on, “If you wish, you can play,” adding that he was currently in Beijing getting ready for the China Open. You don’t play if not.For instance, I skipped a few events both this year and previous because I wanted to practice. This is the result of certain decisions. Sinner won the US Open earlier this month, solidifying his position as the world’s number one player, and is now the top seed at the China Open.
