F1 Grand Prix Of Singapore

Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur has acknowledged that the Scuderia is already working primarily on their 2025 challenger ahead of Lewis Hamilton’s arrival, with their final’small enhancements’ planned for the United States Grand Prix.

With six races remaining in the 2024 season, the Italian constructor is closing in on second-placed Red Bull and even Constructors’ Championship leaders McLaren. However, with the top four teams in the series now on a similar trajectory, Vasseur has decided to pivot Ferrari’s development towards the 2025 car.

“I believe this will be the last one for everyone, across all teams. It will be tight; if you look at the grid, the top four teams are so close, and we’ll see if it makes a difference.”

This will be wonderful news for Hamilton, who joins Ferrari at the end of the year after a famous 12-year stint with Mercedes. The seven-time world champion has two race wins in 2024, extending his career total to 105, but the Silver Arrows have rarely been a constant threat to victory, with just a purple patch before the summer break.

Mercedes has recently dropped back down the pecking order, with McLaren and Ferrari appearing to be the fastest two cars in the field, followed by Red Bull and the Silver Arrows. Toto Wolff’s team faced unique challenges during the Singapore Grand Prix.

Hamilton’s weekend began with some good news. The Brit, who has struggled in qualifying this year, qualified his W15 on the second row of the grid behind Lando Norris and Max Verstappen, but Mercedes’ daring strategy decisions on Sunday dashed any hopes of a podium finish.
