A Fulham player replies to criticism “with humour” and explains why it’s unjustified. “Not that awful.”

The player for Fulham spoke with Fox Sports Mexico. He responded to criticism that he wasn’t scoring enough goals for Marco Silva’s team. The former Benfica player reportedly responded to this criticism “with humour.” He has also addressed his detractors and given an explanation for why, in his opinion, the criticism—the majority of which originates in Mexico—is unjustified. “I read a statement the other day that stated I hadn’t scored a goal in the Premier League for four months. If we take into account that my final Premier League goal

was in the final game of the previous campaign and that I had three months off, so I don’t think it’s all that horrible,” he remarked. In July 2023, the Mexico international moved from Wolverhampton Wanderers to join Marco Silva’s team. The forward scored seven goals in 29 games across all competitions to cap off his rookie campaign in London.
