Unbelievable New York Jets linebacker will not play against the New England

Due to a toe injury, linebacker C.J. Mosley of the New York Jets will miss tonight’s game versus the New England Patriots. During the first half of the Jets’ victory over Tennessee on Sunday, Mosley suffered a big toe injury. He was unable to play again. This week, he did not practice, and his status for Thursday’s match was labeled as uncertain. Jamien Sherwood would assume leadership of the defense if Mosley was unable to play, according to what coach Robert Saleh has previously said. With Mosley out, Sherwood played well against the Titans. Marcelino McCrary-Ball, a linebacker with the Jets, was also elevated off the practice squad. Due to knee pain, cornerback D.J. Reed missed the Tennessee game, but he is back in the starting lineup.

Jermaine Johnson, an edge rusher with the Jets, tore his right Achilles tendon during the game against Tennessee, hence the team placed him on injured reserve. Johnson’s spot on the roster was filled by defensive lineman Jalyn Holmes, who was signed off the practice squad. Running back Israel Abanikanda, offensive tackles Max Mitchell and Carter Warren, defensive end Eric Watts, and cornerback Jarrick Bernard-Converse are among the Jets’ other inactive players. Starting left tackle Vederian Lowe (knee) and left guard Sidy Sow (ankle) were both declared out for the Patriots on Wednesday. Center Though labeled as questionable, right tackle Mike Onwenu (wrist) and David Andrews (hip) are both active. Ja’Whaun Bentley, a linebacker, hurt his shoulder against Seattle and is not available. Defensive ends are not playing for New England either.
