The Atlanta Falcons won their first game of the 2024 NFL season, 22-21, away against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Drake London’s touchdown with 38 seconds remaining tied the game at 21-21, and Younghoe Koo kicked the extra point.

After leading 15-10 entering the fourth quarter, the Falcons committed a five-point penalty, allowing the Eagles to score 11 straight points before London’s late touchdown.

Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins fired two touchdown passes, including a 41-yard connection to Darnell Mooney at the start of the third quarter. Mooney scored by sprinting into the end zone and doing a front flip with the ball in his hand.

Jalen Hurts, the Eagles’ quarterback, had a hand in both of their touchdowns, passing the first to DeVonta Smith and then rushing one himself midway through the fourth quarter.

After two rounds of games, both teams have one victory and one defeat.
