Around the Clemson Tigers and their 34-3 loss to the Georgia Bulldogs, there has been much gloom and pessimism for most of the week.

The loss sent the Tigers (0-1) to the last position in the AP Top 25. Georgia kept their top rating in the nation.
One must go into the box score to recall that Clemson was just behind 6-0 at halftime given the huge final score.

At least one member of the media paused to remind everyone of that truth and boldly projected what the Tigers would do next.

Strangely enough, that member of the media was formerly a Georgia quarterback.

Recently Aaron Murray discussed how the season might finish for Clemson on the Orange Crush podcast of TigerNet.com.

He stated, “You will look at Clemson at the conclusion of the year; they will be 11-1 and participating in the ACC Championship (game).

As his squad gets ready to meet the Appalachian State Mountaineers on Saturday night, Tigers coach Dabo Swinney has not been one to offer apologies.

He has highlighted several areas where Clemson has to improve to surpass the upset-minded Mountaineers, who have an all-time record of historic wins over Michigan and Texas A&M.

Murray, who now works for ESPN, was also quick to remind podcast listeners the Tigers were up against a team looking ready for a run at their third national title in four years.

“They (clemson) were challenging maybe the best defense in the nation,” Murray remarked. “Let us quickly assimilate that real quickly. Although the setting was neutral, I would estimate that Georgia supporters outnumbered Clemson supporters. Against an excellent defense that might have the greatest defensive end for the NFL Draft in Mykel Williams, the number one safety in Malaki Starks, and a lot of first-rounders generally, you have a pseudo-away game.

Noted point.

Georgia is decent; Murray stated the Tigers are also good, and he thinks this season will confirm it.

The ACC race already seems to be open widely. Though Clemson fell to Georgia, Swinney has been eager to note that this was not a conference loss as the Tigers only play league games against NC State starting September 21.

ACC favorite Florida State has already dropped two conference games following the first full week of college football; competitors like Georgia Tech seemed to have improved greatly from a year ago.

All of it implies the Tigers ought to be in panic mode.

One former Georgia quarterback also says this.
