Two Practice Squad Moves by the Saints
The New Orleans Saints said that they have released tight end Mason Fairchild in line with the signing of tight end Treyton Welch to the practice squad.

According to Nick Underhill, the Saints also dismissed running back Kene Nwangwu due to a failed physical designation. It happens the day after the Vikings claimed it off waivers.
In May of last year, Welch, now 23 years old, joined the Browns as an undrafted free agent out of Wyoming. But after the preseason, he was one of Cleveland’s last roster cuts.
Welch caught 77 passes for 874 yards (11.4 YPC) and nine touchdowns in his collegiate career.
