Silver medallist Sha’Carri Richardson, an Olympian in the 100 meters, revealed something else fast outside running.

The American sprint queen talked about a number of interesting facts about herself in a BBC Sport “Get to Know Me” feature.

Richardson said that she enjoys talking more quickly and that occasionally, after a chat, people ask her to repeat herself. This was in response to a question about another skill she had. With the world-leading time she set at the U.S. Olympic trials, the 24-year-old is currently the fastest person in the world this year.

She finished the race in an incredible 10.71 seconds, besting Twanisha Terry and Melissa Jefferson, who placed second and third, respectively.

“Speaking. I can absolutely run out of things occasionally. She stated, “Like, my training partners and team were like, ‘Huh, what did you just say?'”

Richardson also talked about her favorite praise, saying that if someone gave it to her, she would start a conversation right away.
How often I say this, I swear. “You have a pleasant scent.” She remarked, “I can at least talk to you for ten minutes if someone tells me I smell good.”

Richardson clarified that she prefers to remain lighthearted and carefree prior to a race because she sees other athletes tensing up and pulling serious faces all the time.

Everybody needs to be extremely silent and serious because things are rather tense back there. I was just saying to everyone, “Yeah, we’re going to race each other, we’re going to do what we have to do regardless, but let’s still have fun, whoosah!”
The current world champion revealed that people always stop to stare at her famous nails when she is out on the town.

“When I’m out in public and people ask me questions like, ‘Oh my gosh, what do you do for a living?’ and ‘How do you manage with those nails?’ I can,” she affirmed.

She went on to say that she enjoys putting others at ease in her presence. She says that every time she sees them in public, they always make her feel anxious, but she tries to let them know that she is just like everyone else.

It’s strange, folks get nervous when they meet me. However, I’ll be like, “Hey, baby, I’m you; I just run fast.” That’s all, “Richardson declared.
