Shocking Twist: Alcarazs Unlikely Opponent Revealed for US Open!

The world No. 3 will be one of the US Open’s main attractions, as he will be looking to win his fifth Grand Slam event at the age of 21.

Carlos Alcaraz has returned to the site where he reigned supreme for the first time. The Spaniard won his first Grand Slam title in New York in 2022.

The Spanish superstar will strive to forget his Olympic Games final with another big triumph at the US Open, the calendar’s fourth and final major.

The transition from clay courts at the Olympics to hard courts in Cincinnati was not as easy as he had hoped, as he lost to Gael Monfils in his first appearance in the Ohio event this year.

Alcaraz did not feel at ease against the Frenchman since he was not as sharp as he used to be in long rallies and was unable to break his opponent’s serve in the final two sets.

Carlitos will be trying to perform at his best at the US Open, where he was ousted in the semifinals by Daniil Medvedev last year.

The Russian, along with current champion Novak Djokovic, Jannik Sinner, and Alexander Zverev, will compete to reach the last round and become champions in New York.

The Serb has fully recovered from his knee ailment and is ready to defend his title, while Alcaraz hopes to avenge his devastating loss to Nole in the Olympic tennis event final.

However, the Belgrade player may not be the most difficult test for Carlos, but rather his own agenda. The El Palmar native has had very few days off since the start of the French Open, playing a lot of matches with little time to rest.

Despite spending a few days in Mallorca after winning the silver medal in Paris, he soon returned to preparation for the Cincinnati Open.

He was eliminated early, but he hasn’t had time to heal physically or mentally, especially since he destroyed his racket and received criticism for it.

Today, Alcaraz is competing in an exhibition match, The Stars of the Open, alongside Andre Agassi against the Djokovic-John McEnroe pair. Aside from that, he plans to attend some Nike and Babolat advertising events these days. And on Saturday, he will be the highlight of Kids Day, where he will interact with young tennis fans before competing at Flushing Meadows.
