New York Yankees, Aaron Judge

Aaron Judge, the New York Yankees slugger, has another reason to be excited this season, and it has nothing to do with his statistics. Judge’s parents had received a very rare honour. Patty and Wayne Judge will receive the George and Laura Bush Little League Parents of the Year award, according to the Little League organisation.

The honour is given to baseball parents who demonstrate exceptional parenting qualities while also giving back to their communities.

“One of our most prestigious recognition awards, the George and Barbara Bush Little League Parents of the Year award is a representation of the dedicated parents that make the Little League program possible each year and we cannot think of a more deserving set of parents to receive this year’s award than Patty and Wayne Judge,” Stephen D. Keener, president and CEO of Little League, said according to a statement. “Our aim as an organisation is to use kids baseball and softball to impart life skills that will help individuals and communities grow stronger. Since becoming Aaron Judge’s parents, Patty and Wayne have carried out this objective not just via their parenting, but also through the amazing work they continue to undertake in communities around the world.”

Judge is Patty and Wayne’s adopted son. Aaron’s parents are schoolteachers who raised him in Linden, California. Judge’s parents instilled in him a love of baseball from an early age. Aaron began playing Little League at the age of six.

“I know I wouldn’t be a New York Yankee if it wasn’t for my mom,” Aaron Judge stated in an MLB.com interview. “As a child, Mom taught me the difference between right and wrong, how to respect others, and how to go the additional mile and do extra work, among other things. “She has shaped me into the person I am today.”

Aaron Judge is enjoying a great season for the Yankees.

This season, the Yankees are banking on Judge’s hitting to help them win games. The veteran is making his case for the American League MVP. He currently has a.331 batting average. Judge is also on track to have a spectacular season on offence. He’s hit 44 home runs this season and batted in 111 runs with plenty of ball left to play.

This excellent play has helped New York stay pace with Baltimore for first place in the American League East. The Yankees are 73-52, with a half-game lead over the Orioles. New York is looking to return to the postseason after missing out in 2023. Judge struggled with injuries throughout the club’s disastrous 80-loss season in 2023.

The Yankees return to action on Tuesday against the Cleveland Guardians.
