Yankees' Juan Soto and Aaron Judge

Aaron Judge blasted his 300th home run during the New York Yankees’ 10-2 victory over the Chicago White Sox. The Captain followed in the footsteps of Juan Soto, who went deep earlier in the game and scored on Judge’s eighth-inning home run, as New York claimed victory.

Judge is outperforming his 2022 MVP campaign in terms of OPS, OPS+, and a variety of other statistics. He may not smash 62 home runs again, but he has the best walk-to-strikeout ratio of his career and is still dominating baseballs, leading all hitters with 43 home runs this season. His 300th home run is a significant milestone, which he achieved faster than anyone else.

The White Sox had intentionally walked Soto to face Judge, a mistake they later regretted when Judge blew the game wide open. The plan seems to boil down to avoiding a righty pitching to a lefty batter, one of the best in the game. That at least makes logic. However, Soto expected Chicago would give Judge a free pass, according to Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News.

“I had no idea they’d try to pitch to him. I do not know. This is their plan. “I’m not sure what they were thinking,” Soto told the New York Daily News.

Aaron Judge and Juan Soto are dominating as the Yankees pursue the AL East crown.

The Yankees’ outfield duo makes a strong case for the best of all time. This season, they are ranked first and second in MLB in terms of OPS and OPS+. They are the only qualified hitters with on-base percentages above.400, and they are all well above.430. Judge is expected to win another MVP award, while Soto will almost certainly appear on votes.

Aaron Judge and Juan Soto have performed admirably with the Yankees this season. Even if Jazz Chisholm Jr.’s season is jeopardized by a left elbow injury, New York is always a threat to score runs because to its excellent combination.

The Yankees have the second-best record in the majors (72-50) and lead the American League East. The Baltimore Orioles, on the other hand, are closing in, so they’ll need more Judge home runs.
