The 400 game club in the AFL/VFL only features five players but a sixth will join after Round 21 this weekend.
Collingwood legend Scott Pendlebury hits the 400 game in a Saturday night blockbuster at the MCG.

Who has played 400 AFL/VFL games?
Pendlebury will become the sixth AFL/VFL player to play 400 games if he plays for Collingwood against Carlton on Saturday night.
The Collingwood veteran joins an illustrious club featuring AFL games record holder Brent Harvey and long-time previous holder Michael Tuck.

Can Scott Pendlebury break the AFL games record?
While Pendlebury would be a deserving holder of the AFL games record, it’s going to be tough for the Magpies icon to get to the honour.
Assuming the 36-year-old plays all of Collingwood’s 2024 home-and-away games, Pendlebury will complete the season on 403 games.
The Magpies can play a maximum of four finals in 2024, which would lift Pendlebury to 407 games.
From there, he would need 26 games in 2025 to break Harvey’s record, which would require him to play 23 home-and-away games and three finals.
With Collingwood’s participation in the 2024 finals series still in question, Pendlebury’s ability to play a full season and the unlikelihood he continues into 2026, it seems unlikely he will achieve the AFL
