With the Yankees’ 14-4 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies, Soto has played the most games and reached base safely more than three times. This achievement places Juan Soto in the same company as the legendary Mickey Mantle.

Mantle owns the record at 260 games, while Soto has 248.

Aside from them, the only two MLB players with similar records are Mel Ott (258 games) and Jimmie Foxx (253 games). Furthermore, this feat has been extremely unusual since 1901.

Juan Soto’s Record Game

Eric Hartline- USA TODAY Sports MLB All-Star. Juan Soto became only the fourth member of this elite group after hitting a two-run double with two bases loaded in the fifth inning as New York blasted the game open. Soto is now 5 for 9 with 3 RBIs with the bases loaded in 2024.

Aside from Juan Soto, Austin Wells hit a two-run triple to make it 7-1, and Aaron Judge homered in the seventh inning to put the Yankees up 9-3. Similarly, Jazz Chisholm, Jr.’s first two home runs with the Yankees came in his second game. This game also marked his first professional start at third base.

This victory represents the Yankees’ first three-game winning streak since June 9-12. Meanwhile, the Phillies are still struggling in the middle of the season after getting out to the best start in franchise history.

The New York Yankees now have a 63-45 record and are in second place in the American League East, which is lead by the Baltimore Orioles (63-44).

Juan Soto has already broken a Mickey Mantle mark. Last May, he drew his 669th walk against the Minnesota Twins, breaking Mickey Mantle’s record for most career walks before turning 26 years old. Mantle had set the mark in 1901.

Juan Soto had also beaten Ted Williams’ 1901 mark for most walks before turning 24 while playing for the San Diego Padres two seasons ago.
