Richmond has confirmed its extended squad for Sunday’s match against Collingwood at the MCG, listing four potential inclusions.

Important players Nick Vlastuin and Tim Taranto are on track to return from back problems and concussion protocols, respectively.

Young players Matthew Coulthard and Jacob Bauer have also been added to the squad with the possibility of being recalled.

Bauer, a 22-year-old swingman, scored two goals against Williamstown in the VFL last Saturday while also recording 14 disposals, five rebound-50s, and three inside-50s.

Richmond VFL coach Steve Morris praised Coulthard for his “endeavour and commitment to the team” after he collected 12 disposals, four marks, and four inside-50s.

Captain Toby Nankervis is out of the squad after suffering a concussion against Port Adelaide last Saturday night.

Dustin Martin trained at Bundoora today and was expected to return, but he will not play against Collingwood, with the club eventually taking a risk-free approach.

‘We really want to end the season strong.’ – Yze
Adem Yze speaks to the media ahead of this weekend’s battle with Collingwood on Sunday.

“He’s in a good position. Martin’s performance improved late last week, according to senior coach Adem Yze.

“We’ll decide whether one or two sessions are adequate, or whether we need another full week of training, and we’ll plan for next week.

“He’s missed a lot of football, but he’ll have a nice practice in today. He’s moving pretty well; he did good on Tuesday.

“But, we won’t take any risks if we feel like that’s not enough training load.”

The Tigers will announce their final Round 20 team on Friday night at 5.00pm AEDT.

Noah Balta, a versatile tall player, will play his 100th AFL game on Sunday.
