The Yankees are now ranked fifth in the MLB rankings going into today’s games. It is a great position to be in midway through the season. The terrible thing for New York is that they are in the same division as the Baltimore Orioles. The AL East’s best squad.
It’s therefore not surprising that the Yankees have recently been connected to a ton of possible moves. Especially considering that for the past month, they have gone 10–20. The Bronx is currently under increased pressure, to the point where there has been a suggestion recently that the organization may be willing to part with highly touted prospect Spencer Jones.
A player who was formerly invincible. But according to a recent report from ESPN MLB insider Jeff Passan, the team appears open to trading any of their best prospects in an attempt to reclaim their status as a legitimate title contender.
