With its Super-8 It would have been fitting to call Robert Redford and Paul Newman’s Movie Madness night “Classic Hunkfest.” The final title may be more refined, but seriously, those guys slayed it even as they got older. Starting at 8 p.m., the Way Out Club (2525 Jefferson Avenue; 314-664-7638) will host an evening featuring Butch Cassidy, The Sundance Kid, and The Sting. The historic Slap Shot (starring Newman) and Redford’s mountain-man epic, Jeremiah Johnson, are two of the films that feature the two handsome men separately, and admission is $3. Super-8, which runs for around fifteen minutes each reel, is used to screen all of the films. Even though the insanity is supposed to conclude at midnight, there may be some violent altercations around the Redford and Newman trivia portion’s prize t-shirts and posters.
