Nick Saban will be a part of the football media days programming on SEC Network.

While Nick Saban has stepped down as the head coach of Alabama football, he is still involved in the event; the network announced on Thursday that Saban will be part of ESPN’s coverage of SEC Media Days in Dallas this year. Media days are set to run from Monday through next Thursday from the Omni Dallas Hotel. On Wednesday, Alabama will be in the spotlight as head coach Kalen DeBoer makes his debut.

The press release didn’t say what Saban would be doing on ESPN’s telecasts of the competition. Among the pundits on the list were Greg McElroy, Roman Harper, Paul Finebaum, and Cole Cubelic, to mention a few. The majority of the company’s coverage during SEC Media Days will air on the SEC Network. The statement states that during media days, the network would air 49 hours of live studio programming. In January, Saban announced his retirement from the position of head coach at Alabama. He had led Tuscaloosa to six national titles and had won seven at LSU. He still serves as an advisor for UA in addition to his current position with ESPN.

He has previously provided coverage of the NFL Draft for the network. Throughout the 2024 football season, Saban will be featured on ESPN’s programming.
