While many basketball fans were watching Team USA’s exhibition game versus Canada on Wednesday night, some Summer League action went place as well. Most notably, Bronny James returned to the court for the Los Angeles Lakers in an 80-76 loss against the Miami Heat.

The Lakers are currently 0-3 in Summer League play, but it doesn’t mean much at the end of the day. What matters is that these young players gain on-court experience, especially newcomers seeking to make their place in the NBA. For James, it is exactly what the Summer League provides.

Bronny James, the son of LeBron James, will face enormous expectations, despite the fact that he did not shine during his single season of college, which landed him at the 55th overall choice in the 2024 NBA Draft. Still, he has a lot of promise, which was on full show during the Lakers’ most recent game against the Heat.
