LeBron James has allegedly decided to return to the Los Angeles Lakers next season under a new contract.

After opting out of his last contract, the older James is returning on a two-year, $104 million contract with a player option for 2025-26 and a no-trade provision, ESPN reported on Wednesday, citing sources.

His comeback was anticipated, and the world now awaits the formal debut of the NBA’s first father-son pairing. The Lakers also signed Bronny James to a rookie deal today. According to an ESPN source, the agreement is for four years and $7.9 million, with a team option in the fourth year. Bronny is slated to spend the majority of his rookie season with the NBA’s G League development program.

LeBron James and Bradley Beal of the Phoenix Suns are the only players with no-trade clauses.
