Linus Ullmark’s career with the Bruins ended this week, as did his goalie embraces with Jeremy Swayman.

On Monday, Boston dealt Ullmark to the Ottawa Senators in exchange for goaltender Joonas Korpisalo, forward Mark Kastelic, and a first-round choice in this year’s NHL draft. The contract conserved the Bruins’ cap room for free agency, which begins next Monday, and established Swayman as the team’s top goaltender.

On Tuesday, the 25-year-old turned to Instagram to share a photo of himself and Ullmark at a Bruins Foundation event.

“Brother for life,” Swayman wrote in another Instagram post showing highlights from Ullmark’s three-year Bruins career.

The story continues below this advertisement.

The veteran goaltender also turned to Instagram to express his deep gratitude to the Bruins organization and the fans for their support. Pat Maroon also expressed gratitude for Ullmark, despite their little time together, while general manager Don Sweeney hailed the 2023 Vezina Trophy winner for his time in Boston.

Bruins fans will undoubtedly mark their calendars for the Senators’ first game at TD Garden and present Ullmark with flowers. Fans will miss goalkeeper hugs with Ullmark and Swayman, but they’ll always have memories with the star goalie tandem.
