Since Nick Saban took over in 2007, there hasn’t been a greater college football program than the Alabama Crimson Tide, who have won six national titles during that time. With Saban’s retirement, the question remains whether the Crimson Tide will continue to dominate or if another team will take its position.
Paul Finebaum remarked on his show, “The Paul Finebaum Show,” that he feels the Georgia Bulldogs are the best-positioned college football team to become the next Alabama.
“Nobody is ever going to completely take Alabama’s place, but Georgia is as close to Alabama today as anyone,” Finebaum pointed out.
The Bulldogs have been dominant throughout the last few seasons. Georgia has a 42-2 record over the last three seasons and has won seven straight bowl games. Furthermore, the Bulldogs have not dropped more than two games in a season since 2018.
Georgia has also ranked in the top three for three consecutive recruiting classes. That is why Finebaum believes Georgia has the best chance of becoming the next dynasty after Alabama.
