Don’t look now, but Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever are enjoying a winning streak. The Fever have won four of their last five games, bringing their WNBA record to 6-10 so far.
The WNBA season has been a poisonous mess, at least in terms of sports media coverage. Since Clark joined the league, there has been no shortage of unnecessary disputes, overreactions, and panic. It’s become so bad that it appears that some people want to use the WNBA to wage cultural battles rather than to enjoy basketball.
A great moment between Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston in tonight's postgame as Clark was asked about smoothing out off-target passes.

Changing the narratives will not happen overnight, but maybe, instances like these can begin to have an influence. After the Fever defeated the Mystics on Wednesday night, Caitlin Clark reflected on some missed passes throughout the game. That’s when teammate (and previous #1 overall pick) Aliyah Boston stepped in to complement Clark’s passing game.
Aliyah Boston on her growing on-court chemistry with Caitlin Clark:
"Caitlin with the ball in her hands, she talks to me a lot & she tells me 'do this' or 'do that.' So I'm just trying to make sure I get to those spots b/c I know she can hit me."@GamecockWBB | @IndianaFever pic.twitter.com/x2ypJP52bF

One of the most absurd talking points of the WNBA season so far has been that Clark’s teammates do not support her because they do not rush off the bench to confront players who foul her. This exchange demonstrates that nothing could be further from the truth.
Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston are both world-class players, and once they establish synergy on the court, the Fever should continue to dominate in the coming years. Hopefully, when their fortunes improve on the court, some of the focus will shift in that direction.
