Angel Reese, of the Chicago Sky, has accomplished something unprecedented in WNBA history.

With an offensive rebound and layup in the third quarter of Thursday’s game against the Dallas Wings, Reese became the first WNBA rookie to earn a double-double in seven straight games.

Reese finished with 16 points and 18 rebounds as the Sky defeated the Wings 83-72 to snap a four-game losing run.

Over the last month, Reese has really stepped up her game professionally. Since June 1, she has averaging 13.4 points per game and 12.8 rebounds.

Over the course of the season, Reese leads all rookies with 10.8 rebounds per game. Her Sky colleague Kamilla Cardoso ranks second with 6.9 rebounds per game. Reese also leads all rookies in thefts, with 1.9 per game. Her 12.4 points per game are second among all WNBA rookies, trailing only Caitlin Clark, who averages 16.3 points this season.
