Alabama supporters react to Crimson Tide’s 4-star quarterback commit winning MVP of the Elite 11 Finals.
A second Alabama football commit is named Most Valuable Player in the Elite 11 Finals.

Tua Tagovailoa, a former Crimson Tide quarterback, had this emotion during the 2016 Elite 11. The native Hawaiian proved Trent Dilfer wrong by progressing from a talented athlete to a complete quarterback during the contest. Tagovailoa enrolled at the University of Alabama for the 2017 season and helped the Tide win the College Football Playoff National Championship in his first season.

Alabama has two freshmen recruits in the top ten for the 2024 college football season. One of the best signal-callers in program history, he was drafted at No. 5 overall in 2020.

Keelon Russell, a four-star from Duncanville (Texas) High School, has something special written about him. He competed in the Elite 11, winning MVP honors in the finals. Russell has committed to the Crimson Tide for the 2025 class. Russell has 3,483 throwing yards, 38 touchdowns, and three interceptions in 2023 as a junior. He guided Duncanville to the state championship and hopes to win another. Alabama fans responded on X after seeing their potential win the top prize in the Elite 11.
