A.J. Brown wants WR version of George Kittle’s TE University

A.J. Brown argues for the wide receiver equivalent of George Kittle’s Tight End University.

For the past four years, San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle has held a unique training summit in Nashville, Tenn., with some of the best players in his position in preparation for the upcoming season.

A.J. Brown, a Philadelphia Eagles receiver, likes the idea so well that he is campaigning for a wide receiver version of Kittle’s Tight End University.

“Wideouts wassup?” Brown tweeted. “The Tight Ends get together over the weekend. The databases link up. The pass rushers even come together. Come on, gentlemen, we don’t have much time to get together and study. I’m a fan of everyone and prepared to work with everyone. Let’s make it happen, wideouts.

Kittle founded TEU in 2021 with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and former TE-turned-broadcaster Greg Olsen as a method to bring together the best players at the position for three days of insights, advice, and training in the dead of summer.

Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins, as well as retired wide receivers Dez Bryant and Chad Johnson, appear to support Brown’s “WRU” proposal.

Top rookies entering the league, like as Marvin Harrison Jr., Malik Nabers, and Rome Odunze, may acquire vital experience working alongside multi-time Pro Bowlers like Brown or Hill.

It wouldn’t be the first time Brown organised a gathering to foster camaraderie. Last season, he organised a team-building excursion to an escape room during the Eagles’ late-season losing streak in an attempt to help them snap out of their melancholy.

On the surface, organising a multi-day WR summit does not appear to be a difficult endeavour, but things can become more problematic because most quarterbacks want to work out with their top receivers directly over the offseason.
