LeBron James, Savannah James, Rich Paul, Damian Lillard, And Bam Adebayo Attended The Aces-Liberty Game
A slew of big personalities pulled up for the WNBA’s Aces-Liberty game, including LeBron James.

The Las Vegas Aces took on the New York Liberty in a rematch of the 2023 WNBA Finals on Saturday and as you might expect, a plethora of prominent personalities were in attendance for the titanic showdown. Among them were LeBron James, Savannah James, Rich Paul, Damian Lillard, and Bam Adebayo, who all sat together courtside.

This was the second high-profile game that LeBron, Savannah, and Paul have attended in the last month or two. They were in attendance for Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics on May 13.

LeBron had also attended Game 1 of the Finals between these teams last year. The 39-year-old has a fantastic relationship with A’ja Wilson, who had helped the Aces claim their second-straight WNBA championship with a 3-1 series triumph against the Liberty. In this rematch, though, the tables were turned.

The Liberty trounced the Aces 90-82 for their eighth straight win and improved to 12-2 on the season. Jonquel Jones led the way with a game-high 34 points and LeBron praised her and her teammates after the game.

While the Liberty are on a roll, the two-time reigning champs are not. This was the Aces’ sixth defeat in the last seven games and they have now slumped to 6-6 in 2024. They had only lost six games in the whole 2023 regular season, so it has been quite the difficult start. You would back them to steady the ship at some point, though.

As for Lillard and Adebayo, they are terrific friends who have showed plenty of support for the WNBA over the years, so it wasn’t a surprise to see them here together. In an ideal world, they would probably be teammates as well at this time, but the Miami Heat were unable to pull off a trade for Lillard last year.

LeBron James On Attending The Game With Savannah James LeBron posted to Instagram during the Aces-Liberty game to celebrate his wife. He had put an imagined crown on top of Savannah’s head when they were on TV and uploaded a picture of that moment with a great comment.

“Crown her! Ayyyyyeeee.”

A little later, LeBron wrote another tale where he labelled Savannah one of his best pals.

“Smiling/laughing with your best friends goes a long fkn way!!”

It has been lovely to observe this wonderful friendship between LeBron and Savannah over the years. They started dating all the way back in high school and couldn’t have thought at the time that they’d still be going strong in 2024.

While LeBron and Savannah are not close to parting ways with each other, it remains to be seen if he stays with the Los Angeles Lakers. James has a $51.4 million player option for the 2024-25 season, which he is anticipated to opt out of and become a free agency.

I expect James, who averaged 25.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 8.3 assists, 1.3 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game in 2023-24, will re-sign with the Lakers, but nothing has been finalised just yet.
