The Alabama Crimson Tide’s 2025 recruiting class is really starting to come together, with Kalen DeBoer and company securing four verbal commitments in the previous two weeks. Alabama’s 14-man class is presently ranked third nationally, and the team appears to be in an excellent position to land multiple more top recruits.

Alabama’s two most recent recruits, Michael Carroll and Mal Waldrep, provided the first look at the team’s potential offensive line. Aside from the spring transfer portal acquisitions, Carroll and Waldrep were the first two offensive lineman handpicked by DeBoer and his staff to join the team.

This tandem provides a sturdy foundation for Alabama’s new-look offensive lines under Chris Kapilovic.

Alabama’s top offensive line targets
As the recruiting season unfolds, Alabama will continue to bolster its offensive line class. As is customary, it is targeting some of the greatest earthmovers in the country. Ty Haywood, a 5-star prospect, is widely regarded as one of the best five tackles in the class and would be a huge acquisition. He has expressed considerable interest in Alabama and would have to be regarded the team’s top offensive line prospect given his talent and mutual interest.

Jackson Lloyd, a 4-star tackle, is another high priority target. Lloyd is one of several significant prospects who will be on campus this weekend, giving Alabama the opportunity to leave a lasting impression, if not clinch the deal.

Micah DeBose, a four-star prospect from Mobile, is ranked in the top 200. The Tide’s 14-man class now has only five in-state commitments, including linebacker Myles Johnson, who is generally expected to decommit. While DeBoer and his team have done an excellent job of developing this class, a stronger emphasis on homegrown, in-state talent could be beneficial.

If the Crimson Tide can snag Haywood, Lloyd, and DeBose, they will have a five-man offensive line that can compete with anyone in the country. It’s easy to picture this bunch growing under Kapilovic and eventually becoming the driving force behind a championship-caliber squad in Tuscaloosa.
