Luis Robert Jr., the Chicago White Sox outfield masher, appears to be attracting the attention of some strong hitters.

In an appearance this week on “B/R Walkoff,” Jon Heyman of the New York Post mentioned six potential trade suitors for Robert. He mentioned the Los Angeles Dodgers, Philadelphia Phillies, and Atlanta Braves from the National League, as well as the Kansas City Royals, Seattle Mariners, and Toronto Blue Jays.

Despite being frequently injured and batting.196 this season, Robert remains the finest offensive asset on the woeful 17-52 White Sox. At 26 years old, Robert has opportunity to grow and is bound to an affordable deal until 2027. The right-handed slugger was also an AL MVP candidate last season, with 38 home runs and 80 RBI in 145 games.

All of the teams identified by Heyman (with the exception of the 33-35 Blue Jays) are solidly in contention this season and will be looking to buy at the MLB trade deadline on July 30. Robert will not come cheap, as we have learned that the White Sox had set a very high asking price for him.
