It’s the season for rumours about new uniforms. The 2023-24 season is drawing to an end, and the NBA Finals have begun, so we’ll soon be discussing drafting, free agents, and roster development. Soon? Okay. I understand. We’ve been discussing it since the Phoenix Suns’ season concluded in late April.

We haven’t talked about uniform designs. Remember last season when we questioned what Phoenix’s redesign would look like? Summer League teasers abound, as do concepts. I wish the Suns had handled the situation way the Utah Jazz just did. Utah, who had a highlighter yellow look for a few seasons, entirely revamped its uniform sets. They announced their plans to their fans this week, looking extremely 90s.

The Utah Jazz have unveiled new jerseys for next season.

Jazz fans will not be treated to a summer of wonder. Right to the point. Well done, Utah. Again, I wished the Suns had been more straightforward last season.

Aside from personnel changes, one question remains: how will the City Edition jerseys look? Every season, the Suns get a new appearance, and aside from The Valley style, which the team used from 2020 to 2022, we should see a new look next year.

Rumours have already circulated that The Valley could return to the Suns’ uniform rotation.

Once you see it.

This season, the Suns wore the ‘El Valle’ look, which paid homage to both the Greater Phoenix Area and the Latino culture inside. The previous season, the Suns sported a turquoise blue uniform to honour the Native American culture that resides in State 48.

The black jerseys with the pixelated sunset and ‘The Valley’ wordmark across the breast may be redesigned in 2023-24. Rumoured to wear purple coming season, @SunsUniTracker on Twitter shared his image of the new uniform.

I am not saying anything; I am just saying.

Ughhh. Take my money. I really like this.

How long till we know? Based on recent experience, not until the Olympics are done, the preseason has begun, and we’ve lost interest. Meanwhile, this could be pushed throughout the summer, and goods sales might skyrocket when kids on summer break visit malls across Arizona and parents browse Just Sports.

Yes, I understand. Who cares, really? It’s not about the uniforms, but rather the individuals who wear them. We want success, not just cool clothes. However, each age has its own skin. “The Valley” Era will be remembered forever as the club marched to the NBA Finals, but why is it called that? Because the Suns hit a home run with the uniforms, marketing, and team that wore them.
