Andreas Pereira could be a target for Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Fulham saw Tosin Adarabioyo leave for free this summer, but transfer interest in another star could result in a cost.
Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur could shift their focus to Fulham midfielder Andreas Pereira this summer after failing to sign centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo.

The 26-year-old left Craven Cottage as a free agent this summer and had plenty of suitors, with a contract thought to have been signed with the Magpies before the Blues stepped in with a substantial offer to improve their back line. Pereira, one of Fulham’s attacking heroes, is now attracting transfer interest.

The Brazil international joined the club from Manchester United in 2022, with the London club paying £10 million. That amount has proven to be an excellent value for the key offensive midfielder, who has eight goals and 15 assists in 82 Fulham games.

Last season, Pereira scored three goals and assisted seven times as he appeared in all but one of the club’s Premier League games under Marco Silva, missing the final day against Luton Town. His newfound consistency has reportedly tempted Premier League rivals ahead of the summer transfer window.

According to Brazilian publication Globo Esporte, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Aston Villa are all interested in signing the player. According to reports, Pereira is ‘unlikely’ to join Fulham at the start of next season, with a £30 million deal expected to be enough to entice the riverside club to negotiate.

When asked about the transfer rumours during a news conference in Brazil, the Fulham player replied: “It’s difficult to talk about the future right now because I’m entirely focused on the national team. After the title, God willing, I’ll consider my future with the club. I’ll meet with my agent to decide my future.”

Pereira still has two years left on his Fulham deal, giving the Cottagers negotiation strength if any bids for the player’s services come in.
