New Alabama quarterback commit Keelon Russell might help land other quality players.

Keelon Russell, a Duncanville (Texas) high school Top 100 quarterback, is the newest Class of 2025 candidate to pledge to the University of Alabama. The 6-3, 175-pounder’s decision to go with the Crimson Tide comes as no surprise to 247Sports, which made three Crystal Ball predictions for Alabama this weekend.

The 6-3, 175-pounder’s decision to go with the Crimson Tide comes as no surprise to 247Sports, which made three Crystal Ball predictions for Alabama this weekend.

Russell is now the Crimson Tide’s top commit, according to 247Sports. He ranks 39th overall and seventh among quarterbacks in the country. He is an excellent prospect who has guided Duncanville to two consecutive Texas 6A D-1 state championships. Russell completed 72% of his passes as a junior, totaling 3,8423 yards, 38 touchdowns, and three interceptions.
