NCAA Softball: Womens College World SeriesPatrick Murphy loses another valuable member of the team.

Kenleigh Cahalan looking for other alternatives.
According to the D1Softball.com, Kenleigh Cahalan has entered the Transfer Portal.

While Bama coach Patrick Murphy was busy preaching the message of Mudita and his so-called “Hitting Coach” Adam Arbour was wasting a year “building relationships”, the Tide sophomore had one eye on the door.

Murphy was asked about the job his BFF helper had done this year and here is what Caveman Pat had to say:

“ I think it was a good relationship-building year,” Murphy remarked. “Somebody new. At the end of the game I think we had five sophomores in the lineup. We’re a young crew still. The more that they learn from him, he learns from them, the relationship. You cannot automate a relationship. You may go to Panera and it’s computerised order. You cannot automate relationships. You cannot do that. It’s going to start one on one.

“I thought he did a good job of that early in the fall. But you had to create that trust with a hitter because everybody is different. Their approaches are distinct. Their mental games are different. You got to learn. We had 16. He’s got to learn 16 different people, various personalities, what makes them go. You got to learn what motivates ‘em. That’s just going to keep getting better and better and better.”

What a load of horse****. The numbers do not lie. Alabama went down in every statistical category and the offensive performance of some individuals were pretty about half.

There is a fair likelihood that Cahalan looked at theTeam29 roster and understood that next season will be a heated disaster. The Trussville, Alabama native spent two seasons as the Tide’s starting shortstop and started every game. The rising junior was one of the most consistent hitters this season and led the Tide in several offensive statistics.

Look for her to win SEC POY for somebody else in the near future.

I can’t wait to hear the Rainbow Lollipop Unicorn Brigade defend this one.
