Fulham are reportedly willing to pay £30 million to recruit former Leeds United forward Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal.

Nketiah joined Leeds on loan in 2019 with the objective of gaining senior experience that would propel him up the Arsenal pecking order. He was primarily utilized as an impact substitute for the Whites, returning to his parent club midway through the season.

Despite making over 150 appearances for Arsenal, Nketiah has yet to establish himself as a regular starter on the front line. For months, there has been conjecture about his future, and it appears that he may be moving this summer. According to The Sun, Fulham is willing to pay up to £30 million for the marksman and is said to be in pole position. Wolves and Crystal Palace, meanwhile, are considered as “likely” to compete for his signature. In recent months, he has been linked with Leicester City and Brentford.

Arsenal is thought to be reluctant to lose Nketiah, whom they have developed since he entered the Gunners’ academy nearly a decade ago. Everton are allegedly interested in taking the England-capped forward on loan, which may be an appealing alternative for Arsenal. However, moving Nketiah might generate enough finances to gain the services of RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, with whom the Gunners have been heavily connected. Meanwhile, for Nketiah himself, regular starts elsewhere may increase his prospects of appearing for England.
