Green Bay PackersMany players on the Green Bay Packers roster will become free agents after the 2024 season. Green Bay has drafted well in recent years. General manager Brian Gutekunst will have to make some difficult judgements about it when the time comes.

However, certain free-agent picks may be no-brainers. Green Bay is not known for signing free agents, but they did sign two major free agents this offseason. The Packers signed two free agents: running back Josh Jacobs and safety Xavier McKinney.

During Green Bay Packers’ organised team activities on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, quarterback Jordan Love (10) jokes with cornerback Jaire Alexander (23) and safety Xavier McKinney (29).

The Green Bay Packers will eventually have to pay additional players and may not be able to keep everyone. Everyone is hoping that Green Bay would sign quarterback Jordan Love to a contract extension before the season starts. Once that is completed, they may consider awarding more contract extensions to other players.

Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Kenny Clark could be in his final season with the franchise.

The former first-round choice in the 2016 NFL Draft is entering his final year of contract. Kenny Clark, 28, has served as one of the defense’s anchors. He had 44 tackles, 7.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and three pass deflections with Green Bay last season.

Sayre Bedinger of lombardiavenue.com stated that Kenny Clark could be in his final season with the Green Bay Packers:

“In addition to former first-round pick Eric Stokes’ free agency in 2025, the Packers are at a critical juncture with defensive lineman Kenny Clark. Clark is set to become a free agency next offseason and could be entering his final year in Green Bay, given the young talent the Packers have added to their defensive line in recent years.

Clark has been exceptional in Green Bay. The former first-round choice is one of the game’s most underappreciated defensive tackles, having made the Pro Bowl three times, including in 2023 when he established a career high with 7.5 sacks. It’s crucial to note, however, that Jordan Love is the Packers’ most prominent free agent in 2025, and his position may necessitate that a player like Clark is replaced through the 2025 NFL Draft rather than re-signed.”

This season, the Green Bay Packers’ defence will be exciting to watch. If Kenny Clark has another successful season for the Green Bay Packers under a new defensive coordinator, the team will need to find a way to re-sign him, but it is a business after all.
