With the 2024 NBA Draft drawing near, Bronny James is the center of attention. Apart from the excitement surrounding LeBron’s son’s potential playing destination, there’s also a great deal of curiosity about his real skill level.

LeBron James has avoided discussing his kid Bronny’s draft prospects up until this point. He has mainly just helped him during the draft combine by attending it. In the most recent installment of his podcast Mind The Game featuring JJ Redick, James at last talked about Bronny and his potential as a draft pick.

And he was incredibly proud.

LeBron James Discusses the Draft Process and Bronny

Speaking about Bronny’s current path, LeBron sounds like a pleased father. LeBron claims that his son’s mentality is the most remarkable aspect of his game. LeBron found it particularly interesting that he prioritized being a winning player and compared himself to players like Derrick White, Jrue Holiday, and Marcus Smart in the NBA.

“To see him talk about players like Davion Mitchell, Marcus Smart, Jrue Holiday, Derrick White, and a few other guys, these are guys that come in and for a team that is trying to win every night, a team that wants to win championships, these are the players that you have to have on your team.” Though it doesn’t always appear in the box scores, it does appear in the winning plays every time.”

Regarding his son Bronny, LeBron James
Bronny has handled himself really nicely, even with all of the publicity and constant criticism that he has received. Rather than crumbling under the weight of his father’s shadow, Bronny developed his own style of play, focusing on combo guards who prioritize defense.

LeBron went on to say that he was unrelated to this. It seems that Bronny has known the kind of player he wanted to be and has been putting in a lot of effort to become that player.

LeBron James is not going to be Bronny. Most likely, nobody will be. However, he should be commended greatly for forging his own route and attempting to develop into a talented NBA player in the style that suits him.
