Following news of Brendan Rodgers’ prediction for Celtic’s Premier League finish, fans were taken aback.

After winning their 12th championship in 13 seasons last weekend, Celtic maintained their dominance in Scottish football and have long been linked to a move to the Premier League.

Following in Ange Postecoglou’s footsteps, Brendan Rodgers came back to lead Celtic to its third consecutive championship and to continue his unblemished record of winning the Scottish Premiership each year he has been in charge of the team.

If they defeat rival Rangers in the championship game on May 25, they might potentially add the Scottish Cup to their already outstanding collection of trophies. This season, Celtic has never lost against Glasgow’s blue side.

Premier League of Celtic

Rodgers shares his prediction for Celtic’s Premier League finish.
There has been much discussion about whether or not Celtic and Rangers should be allowed to play in the Premier League given their dominant positions in the Scottish Premier League.Although the majority of both clubs’ supporters are against the idea, some think they could be a useful addition to the English pyramid, similar to how Welsh teams Cardiff City, Swansea City, Wrexham, and Newport County have all assimilated.

Although some have questioned their capacity to compete in the Premier League due to their problems in Europe, Rodgers thinks his squad has a chance to become one of the best in the competition.

“Celtic and Rangers, and obviously I can only talk from a Celtic perspective,” he said to talkSPORT. “They are an incredibly massive club worldwide.”

Without a doubt, Celtic would be at least in the top six if they were a member of the Premier League.

Everywhere you travel in the world, Celtic fans will be around. What really, really makes this club huge is its fan base and its history.

It seemed like a lot of people disagreed with Rodgers’ methodology and criticized his audacious forecast.

Someone commented, “Maybe the top six in League One.”

Another commented, “I’m a Celtics fan, but you need to spend hundreds of millions strategically in order to finish in the top six.

“Comical, you just have to look how they do in European Competitions,” wrote a third. I seem to recall Rangers losing both of their group matches against Liverpool by a combined score of 9-1 and finished last in their 2022 Champions League group with 0 points.

“The only competition Celtic and Rangers have is with each other, which is a concern. Another said, “It would be similar to Man United and Liverpool playing in League One.”
