Celtic fans are frequently confronted with this question. Is it ever boring to win the league every single season?

Well, the ecstatic celebrations that followed the confirmation of yet another Scottish Premiership title last Tuesday – Brendan Rodgers’ club winning it in style with a 5-0 thrashing of Kilmarnock – should definitively answer that weary old question.

After been pushed hard by arch rivals Rangers in a genuine title competition this season rather than the typical one-horse race, Celtic’s smiles were as much relief as joy, with retiring goalkeeper Joe Hart at the forefront.

Hart, who was playing his final club game in the Scottish Cup final against Celtic’s Old Firm rivals, was visibly distraught as the green and white supporters erected a large tifo in his honor.

Celtic needs a goalkeeper to replace Joe Hart.
His possible Parkhead replacement expects to shed a few tears as he bids farewell after nearly a decade at RKC Waalwijk, with a new beginning on the horizon.

RKC fell 3-1 to Eredivisie champions PSV Eindhoven over the weekend. However, as relegation rivals Excelsior were also defeated by Feyenoord, Vaessen ensured that his favorite club would remain in the top flight for at least another year.

“When I’m on vacation, there will be some tears,” Vaessen adds, signing off in style before his contract expires in July.

“It was one of the most challenging seasons of my career, particularly mentally. I am quite pleased with the ultimate outcome. “After that, things went crazy on the field and in the locker room,” the long-serving stopper said, according to Omroep Brabant.

“I am glad I decided to stay for another year last summer. RKC will continue in the Eredivisie. That’s why we did it. And with a fresh squad consisting of numerous young males.

“Now, the search starts for a new club, but I’m not working on that yet.”

Vaessen, 28, is a leader, a fan favorite, and a warrior who now wears Petr Cech-style helmet after being knocked unconscious against Ajax earlier in the season. He is one of several goalkeepers vying for Hart’s gloves.

Celtic, coached by Brendan Rodgers, have identified Liverpool’s Caoimhin Kelleher as their top goalkeeper target for 2024. With Kelleher on the costly side (formerly rated at over £15 million), the Glasgow giants are also keeping an eye on Trabzonspor skipper Ugurcan Cakir, while links to Aston Villa starlet Viljami Sinisalo have emerged recently.

“Ugurcan is our brother.” He is an excellent Trabzonspor player. A true Trabzonspor player,” Trabzonspor president Ertogrul Dogan tells A Spor, as his club is reportedly closing in on Rangers’ Borna Barisic and John Lundstram. “Regardless of his situation, he just considers the interests of his team.

“The player intends to play in Europe.” We stated that if an important offer comes, we will let him go.

“Although there is no official offer at this time, we have had inquiries from a few clubs. Ugurcan has such a dream, which we embrace. It would be preferable to speak after an official offer arrives.”
