Everton and Fulham in race to sign ex PL defender as Branthwaite-Man U update emerges – report

Everton, Fulham, West Ham, and Napoli all want to sign former Tottenham Hotspur defender Davinson Sanchez, according to Caught Offside.

The news agency said on May 20 that, with Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich interested in signing Jarrad Branthwaite, the Toffees have picked Sanchez as his successor.

The 27-year-old Colombian international currently plays for Turkish club Galatasaray.

Davinson Sanchez might not be the answer for Everton.
Sanchez is not a good substitute for Branthwaite at Goodison Park because he is far inferior in terms of talent and potential.

The 21-year-old is a young, talented English defender who has demonstrated exceptional talent and potential during his time at Everton.

Under Sean Dyche, he has played an important role in the team’s defensive structure, and his performances have piqued the curiosity of elite clubs such as Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich.
Sanchez, on the other hand, is an experienced defender who has struggled to sustain a consistent level of performance and was regarded unsuitable for the Premier League, which led to his sale by Spurs.

While he may bring some short-term consistency, he lacks the same long-term promise as Branthwaite.
The Toffees should do all in their ability to keep Branthwaite, since his departure would be a significant blow to the team’s defensive strengths and future possibilities.
If they do sell him for a large sum of money, they must reinvest the money in signing a defender who can bolster the starting lineup and has a high ceiling for development.
