Despite maintaining Sirianni as head coach, Philadelphia made several changes to their coaching staff. The squad hired new coordinators for both sides of the ball.
Kellen Moore is the new offensive coordinator. Vic Fangio, a seasoned defensive coordinator, has joined the squad.
Moore reportedly stated that he plans to make modifications to the team’s offensive. In a recent quote released by NFL.com, he revealed some details about his offensive strategy.
“There will be modifications. There will be modifications. Everything is continually developing. That’s part of the overall offseason routine. We made it to the first week of actually being on the field with these folks. “When you get on the field, things just start evolving.”
Can the Philadelphia Eagles turn things around?
Clearly, certain things need to be adjusted. Whatever the Eagles tried last season did not work. They appeared to be a serious Super Bowl contender for the majority of the season, but they couldn’t avoid falling late in the season, culminating in a Wild Card loss to Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
From the outside, the Eagles appear to have a stacked offense throughout.
Jalen Hurts possesses the talent and potential to become one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL. However, in 2023, he struggled and regressed from the previous year. Moore and colleagues will have to figure out how to get him moving again.
The Eagles spent a lot of money this offseason to keep their two top wide receivers in town. They signed both A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith to new long-term contracts. Both players are capable of being No. 1 wideouts and must step up to have productive seasons.
The Eagles lost a crucial member of last year’s team in free agency when D’Andre Swift signed with the Chicago Bears. However, they replaced him with Saquon Barkley, who should be an improvement as well.
The Eagles have virtually few offensive flaws. They should be one of the most powerful offenses in the NFL.
Moore has a lot of work to do to turn things around, but he has all the talent he needs. It will be interesting to watch what modifications he makes, but there are no reasons why this group cannot thrive.
