The Detroit Lions’ wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown will not be eligible for NFL free agency next year.
On April 24, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport claimed that the Lions have agreed to a four-year contract worth more than $120 million with St. Brown. The contract will also contain a $77 million guarantee.

St. Brown’s contract will make him the highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL.
“Sources: The Lions have a deal for one of the top young talents, agreeing on an extension for WR Amon-Ra St. Brown,” Rapoport wrote on X. “He gets 4 years and more than $120 million with $77 million guaranteed.”
Prior to the transaction, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill had the highest average annual pay of any wide receiver, at $30 million. St. Brown will narrowly edge Hill out with his deal.
St. Brown’s contract also includes the largest bonus ever guaranteed to an NFL wide receiver. Cooper Kupp, a Los Angeles Rams receiver, had the previous largest guaranteed salary for a receiver at $75 million.
St. Brown, a two-time Pro Bowler and 2023 first-team All-Pro receiver, appears to be worth every penny for the Lions. Last season, he had 119 receptions, 1,515 receiving yards, and ten touchdowns in 16 games.
