The Alabama Basketball team has lost yet another significant player to the transfer portal this time in Senior Forward Nick Pringle. This season Pringle averaged 6.8 points per game with 5.1 rebounds per game and 0.7 blocks per game. He was a major part of the team’s victory in March scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds in the Tide’s Elite Eight game versus Clemson. The Tide have now seen Kris Parker, Davin Cosby, Nick Pringle, Rylan Griffen, and Sam Walters enter the Transfer Portal.

The season was a roller coaster journey for Nick Pringle who was suspended from the team twice but, he also had a major effect in games against Clemson, LSU, Florida, and several others.

The Tide do have reinforcements on the way with three highly ranked freshmen coming in as well as transfers Chris Youngblood and Houston Mallette. There could be further departures if Latrell Wrightsell Jr, Mark Sears, and Grant Nelson declare for the NBA Draft.

The Tide now have a significant need for big men in the transfer portal with seemingly Jarin Stevenson and Mo Wague returning for 2024-25. The Alabama Basketball team is in the running for Rutgers transfer Clifford Omoruyi who identified Alabama as one of his Final Ten colleges. The Tide will surely need to add a center or two as they failed to control big men at times this season.

No Reason to Panic about Alabama Basketball

There is no reason to fear yet, about the Alabama Basketball team’s roster heading into the 2024-25 season. Alabama is hosting Auburn transfer Aden Holloway a 5-star recruit in last year’s class for a visit on Thursday as a potential addition. The Tide will also be in play for recent de-commits Boogie Fland and Liam McNeeley both of which are highly touted talents. While losing veteran players hurts it also opens up scholarships for Nate Oats to bring in higher-upside players.
