Philadelphia Eagles supporters are questioning the front office’s decision to offer their No. 2 wide receiver a $75 million contract extension. The Eagles revealed the agreement before to the start of their offseason workout program on Monday.
Smith will make the same amount per year as his colleague, A.J. Brown, who has a four-year $100 million contract. Smith’s new contract appears to secure his future with the Eagles as the organization decides what to do with the brilliant but dramatic Brown.
The #Eagles have paid another big-time, rising player. This time, WR DeVonta Smith gets a 3-year, $75M contract extension that includes $51M guaranteed, sources say.
