Brent Primus, the former Bellator lightweight champion, now has one PFL victory and five regular-season points.

Primus (13-3) earned five points in the 2024 PFL lightweight standings by tapping opponent Gabriel Miranda (16-5) with a rear-naked choke at 1:49 of Round 2 on Friday at The Theater at Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas.

Primus, 39, is 5-2 with one no contest in his last eight fights.

He competed in the Bellator lightweight grand prix in 2023. Following his victory against Mansour Barnaoui, Primus fought and lost to Usman Nurmagomedov.

Nurmagomedov was disqualified from the bout after testing positive for a banned drug.

Miranda, 33, was undefeated in the 2023 PFL regular season before losing in the first round of the playoffs against eventual season winner Olivier Aubin-Mercier. He is now on his first multi-loss streak of his career.
