Former NFL cornerback Vontae Davis died this week at the age of 35, shocking his family.

Vernon Davis, Vontae’s older brother and former NFL tight end, says his brother fell after exiting his sauna, but he has no idea what caused his death.
“This thing absolutely took me by surprise. Vernon Davis told DailyMail.com, “I’m just not sure what to make of it.” “I’m relying on the detectives to solve the case, but we don’t have any answers yet. They claimed they’d perform tests and get back to us. It could take up to a month or a month and a half before we find out anything.”
Vontae Davis’ ex-wife believes he had CTE, but Vernon Davis pointed out that CTE cannot be diagnosed in living individuals and that he thought his brother was both physically and mentally healthy.
“Maybe that’s the case; maybe not. “We don’t really have an answer to that because there is no way to see into our brain while we are alive,” Vernon Davis explained. “Vontae never demonstrated a history of drug use or anything like that. I was at his house two weeks ago, and he had a massage therapist there. He saw a stretch therapist, a chiropractor, you name it.
Police have only stated that Vontae Davis’ death is being investigated, and that foul play is not suspected.
