This means Gary Rowett and his team stay 21st in the Championship table. They are only out of the relegation zone by goal difference.

Preston North End, meanwhile, easily defeated Rotherham United. The Lilywhites scored all three goals in their 3-0 first-half victory at Deepdale.

Rowett hopes for a successful return to St. Andrew’s, although Preston are in good form and expect to win again.The visitors have won three consecutive away games, while the hosts have lost three straight at St. Andrew’s. That might clear the way for Preston to win, handing another devastating blow to the Blues.
